Sorry for writeing in English! My German is not good enough...sprechen nicht Deutch so gut... 8)
I am in the process of colecting parts for my 4S2 -60 project.
I am looking for some parts, f. ex. the rear fenders, including the cast iron parts... does any other model use the same cast iron parts and fenders?
Hood, steering gear with column and steering wheel.
Seat with mounting parts.
Air cleaner.
Is there any register ower how many of the different models there were exported to Scandinavia? So far I have come across only 3 off the 4S2 model here in Scandinavia, the one i have, one dead one in Sweden(wich I also bought) and one in use in Norway...

Tut mir Leid, dass ich in Englisch schreibe, aber mein Deutsch ist leider nicht gut genug.
Ich bin gerade dabei Teile für meinen 4S2 ('60) zu sammeln.
Ich suche einige Ersatzteile, zum Beispiel
- die hinteren Kotflügel inklusive der Gussteile... Hat irgendein anderes Modell die gleichen Gussteile und Kotflügel?
- Motorhaube, Lenkgetriebe mit Lenksäule und Lenkrad
- Sitz mit Befestigung
- Luftfilter
Existiert noch eine Datenbank über verschiedenen Modelle die nach Skandinavien exportiert wurden? Bis jetzt konnte ich nur 3 Stück 4S2 finden, den einen den ich besitze, ein kaputter in Schweden (den ich auch gekauft habe) und einer der noch benutzt wird in Norwegen...

I'm coming from Norway and had rather written German than English. :)
The 4S are alone having 50cm fenders, they can you order by www.kotfluegel.eu The cast iron parts are possible to buy in Austria or order through Johann Zintl in Hunding, near Rohrstetten in Germany. They are very expensive from my point of view... The models AS 542A, A45A/B45A and 4S1 also having the same cast parts. A hood can you get by Fa. H. J. Randerath Karosseriebau rancartec@t-online.de
A such register does excist for Norway, but we had only two 4S1 and thirteen 4S2; they are very rare as in Finland...

Insofern ich weiss gab es die 4S auch mit schmaleren Kotflügel.
Ich dachte 47cm.
Wo in Österriech kann mann diese Stehwände bekommen?
Ich bin nähmlich jetzt in Österreich.

Weil ich es genau wissen wollte hab ich zuhause angerufen und meinem Vater hat nachgemessen am 4S2.
Kotflügelbreite ist 44 cm.
Der 4S2 ist von 1958 (nr: 960160 aus dem Kopf

Hallo Michael und willkommen zurück im Forum!
Ich habe gerade meinen Kumpel mit dem 4S2 aus meinem Bericht "Das Dilemma" angerufen. Die Deckbleche messen tatsächlich 50cm; guck mal für einen Vergleich das erste Foto im Bericht an. Leider habe ich keine Möglichkeit die Blechbreite für 13-30/11-38 Bereifung nach zu messen...
Die Stehwände werden nur nach Bestellung hergestellt, zusätzlich müsste vor Produktionsbeginn auch 50% anbezahlt werden. Angaben über genau wo in Österreich habe ich noch nicht feststellen können. Mein Kontaktmann zur Sache ist aber allseits bekannten Johann Zintl.

Stimmt auch, diese 50 cm.
Es gab sie in 2 verschiedenen breiten.
50 und 44 cm.
Wieso und warum weiss ich nicht.

This picture of the tractor is from summer 1960 when it was new...are the fenders 44 or 50cm wide...?

The fenders are very wide on the picture,
I would say they are 50cm wide.
They cover the wheels easily.
Is the rear part cut off and why?

The fenders are missing now... :-\, so I don´t know...
In the picture they are breaking up new farmland with a big one-shear plough, so maybe they had to cut the fenders to avoid interference with the plough...
I have to ask the driver :D, he still lives nextto me...he is an old man now, but he might know why the fenders are cut...
The tractor was delivered without hydraulics, so there is some homemade stuff...

Ask him, i hope they are still laying around somewhere.
Mostly these older people have an eveningfilling
story.

I rather think the fenders are cut off because of damages from snowchain use... A well-known problem with MAN tractors in Scandinavia.

Magne, you might be right...I have to ask him...
As a sidetrack, he is 15 years old (or young) in the picture... and he was driving that tractor the whole summer...one have to realice that tractor was HUGHE by the standards of those days...and as a 15year old kid you bet he was The King Of The Hill!
He didn´t know that I had got my hands on the tractor, and one day he walked into my shop and saw it...he recognised the tractor right away, and the expression on hes face was pricless :) he became really emotional, almost started to cry...

Unfortunately the fenders, including the cast iron parts, was removed and and went to the scrapyard at a later point :'(

Abend , auf das Bild im Beitrag 5 kommt es mir vor ob dieser 4S2 mit 11-38 Zoll Reifen ausgerüstet ist ; ich war letzte Samstag auf Norhhorn und dort hat Herr Randerath komplette Kotflügel dabei mit Wölbung und Sicke , ich wollte ihm fragen ob er dieser nun selber anfertigt aber er war m Gespräch mit vielleicht potenzielle Kunden wo ich ihm nicht stören wollte , vielleicht kennt einer von euch die Situtation ? oder war es nun um die von ihm selbst angefertigte Kabine aus blech zu präsentieren .... Das Bild in Beitrag 5 finde ich übrigens ganz toll wovon es hier eigentlich mehr geben sollte .

Hallo Bas,
die Firma Dampol kann bald etwas Konkurrenz erwarten. Ich kann laut Aussagen von Herrn Randerath bestätigen; die Hinterradkotflügel für die A-15v ausgestatteten AS-Typen und 4R2 werden wohl in Kürze ab Lager lieferbar sein. Habe Bilder von den Erstgenannten bewundert, wie immer top Qualität.

Habe eben mit einen alten MAN Fahrer teleforniert,der bei Firma Grube war/ist,sie hatten ja viele S Tüpen
Zu der Kotflügelbreite meinte er,die 11-38 und die 13-30er Bereifung hatten die schmalen Kotflügel (44cm) ,
und die 15-30 hatten die breiten Kotflügel (50cm) .
Überprüft es bitte selber,die Bereifung ist ja in Brief eingetragen ;) .

Because there were 2 types differentials/ rearaxles.
You have the 20/18-2 gearbox/rearaxle.
But there was also the heavier 20/28 rearaxle.
I asked this because i wanted to know which version
is in your tractor.
Ask the old tractor driver in the picture above which suspension your tractor has had on the frontaxle, was it a leafspring or a massive construction.
Are there perhaps more pictures of the tractor in his early days.

OK! Interesting information! The original frontsuspension is gone...but I believe it was leafspring type...I just bought another
donor tractor, where the the suspension is intact, so that problem is solved...
I am still hunting for more old pictures... the original owners wife is still around, and I have been told that there are some pictures in the family album :o
There has been only 3 owners before me...the first one passed away 1965, and I have talked to the two others, so I do have a pretty good grip on the tractors history...
The picture belove is from when I picked up the donor tractor a couple of weeks ago...my wife is pretty "amused" when we did drive more than 2000km roundtrip to pick it up 8)

Yes, I picked up this one in the south of Sweden...and most of the missing parts are gone, so I will use this one for parts to my other one...
I have no idea how long he has been sitting outside...maybe 30years or more...

Your 4s2 for parts seems to be quite complete, except for the engine and fenders? It could be a good base for magne's 6 cylinder dream, without having to sacrifice a good 4cyl 4s2. 8)

I had to bring the partsdonor inside for stripping off parts before winter comes... unfortunately I found a crack in the bottom of the rearendhousing...I think it mast have been water inside and then frozen... guess I have to get it welded...
